Daniel Brosseau graduated from the Université de Montréal with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering (B. Sc – Polytechnique) and a master’s in business administration (MBA) from HEC Montreal.
He joined CN’s investment division in 1978, reporting directly to the President. This allowed him to partake in several management positions, namely Oil & Gas Manager, Private Equity, and International Investments Divisions. In addition to partaking in formulating CN’s pension fund policies, he represented the fund on several company boards. From 1981 to 1987, he worked on creating CN pension fund’s oil and gas subsidiary.
Mr. Brosseau’s exceptional career path has provided him with outstanding knowledge and a remarkable business vision, and has led to the fortuitous meeting with Peter Letko, that brought forth the foundation of Letko Brosseau in 1987. Recognized as a builder and a great visionary, he was able to carry out various projects that led to the rapid growth of a very successful firm, managing several billion assets for institutional and private clients.
